These rolls are so super tasty and fairly easy to make. The original recipe called for all-purpose flour, but here I'm using a half-and-half mixture of all purpose and whole wheat. Mixing them works well since 100% whole wheat tends to turn out a bit heavier/tougher than white.
If you've ever made pretzels, these are done in a very similar fashion. You first boil them in water with baking soda and sugar, then bake them. Watch them closely when baking and pull them out as soon as they're brown "enough" - that will ensure the rolls turn out soft and fluffy!
